Live Well - Luxury Vegan Skincare

Updated: Jun 23, 2021

There are four essential natural ingredients used in our handcrafted luxury soap and skincare range:

  • base oils and seed & fruit butter

  • essential oils

  • botanicals

  • natural additives (like clays & activated charcoal)

That's it! What else do you need?

Did you know our Rose Geranium Luxury Face & Body Cream is 90% organic, with the remaining 9% derived from wholly natural ingredients and the remaining 1% as a preservative?

This cream includes water; therefore, it's essential to add a tiny amount (1%) preservative of Benzyl alcohol to prevent it from deteriorating. This is recognised in EU regulations that limit the amount that can be used in personal care products to 1%.

Benzyl alcohol is a colourless liquid with a mild pleasant aromatic odour. It's produced naturally in some plants and small amounts found in apples, raspberries, strawberries, grapes, peaches, and tea. Benzyl alcohol is also a minor component of many essential oils, including jasmine, hyacinth, neroli, rose, and ylang-ylang. All water-based creams and lotions need a preservative. Benzyl Alcohol used in cosmetics and personal care products is necessary to prevent microbial contamination and mould. www.thedermreview.com

We offer luxury soap and skincare that is vegan, biodegradable, mild, safe and effective. All our products are free of detergents, synthetic fragrances, artificial colours, preservatives and petroleum derivatives.

Large brands often make their products in huge batches; however, they sometimes sit for months or longer on shelves before reaching the consumer. In addition, large batch manufacturers have to add additional preservatives to make their products last longer – some additives are unnatural and can be detrimental to the skin.

Live Well luxury soap and skincare is only made in small batches by a GMP certified manufacturer, allowing our products to remain fresh, natural, and good for your skin and better for the environment too!
