Natural vegan products for glowing, healthy skin

Body Care

As skincare routines have become more complicated, it's worth mentioning that looking after your skin is easy when you don't have to use 6 or 7 different products. Although we promote natural skin-friendly soap, all your skin needs to feel softer and nourished is Shea Butter and Marula Oil - both are perfect for moisturising dry-mature skin.

Whipped Shea Butter

Our whipped Shea butter contains vitamins and essential fatty acids, making it an excellent choice for a skin moisturiser; it improves the skin's elasticity and rejuvenates collagen. Shea Butter helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks, wrinkles and sun damage while promoting brighter and healthy skin.

If you suffer from dry skin, use a rich body moisturiser daily, especially after a shower or bath. Our Shea butter can deeply hydrate the skin and is more effective if you apply it straight after your shower and while your skin is damp.

What's the difference between hydrating body moisturisers and profoundly nourishing body creams and moisturisers?

The main difference between the two is their composition. Nourishing moisturisers are generally richer in ingredients and formulated with cold-pressed oils, seed and kernel butter and plant extracts.

Hydrating moisturisers are generally lighter and thin in consistency and contain hydrating ingredients like aloe vera or hyaluronic acid.

Shea butter benefits

If you shop for face or body moisturisers and lotions, you've likely heard of Shea Butter. Here are some of the benefits of regularly using this super hydrating skin saviour:

  • It boosts skin moisture.

  • Its anti-inflammatory properties soothe skin problems.

  • It gently helps heal minor cuts and scrapes.

  • It's a wholly-natural product.

  • Antioxidants may mean anti-ageing properties.

Shea butter versus cocoa butter

Shea and Cocoa butter is an excellent skin moisturiser and emollient that prevents water from evaporating from your skin. However, Shea Butter contains more fatty acids, vitamins E and A.

Vitamin E in moisturisers helps prevent skin from losing moisture and softens skin. When applied topically through creams and serums, vitamin A helps improve skin elasticity.

What is Shea butter?

Shea butter is a plant-based fat from the fruit of a tree native to sub-Saharan Africa, known by its Latin name, Butyrospermum parkii. Its usage in food and cosmetics has been widespread in Africa since the dawn of time, mainly in the Ivory Coast, a prominent producer of this prized ingredient.

Shea Butter is rich in antioxidants, including vitamins A and E. As it's a naturally sourced substance with no health risks, it packs a powerful punch as a deeply hydrating moisturiser for mature skin. Using Shea Body butter regularly will help skin retain moisture, which leaves your skin soft and supple.

Face Care

Can you apply Shea Butter to your face?

You can safely apply shea butter to your face, lips and body. Some body scrubs and hair conditioners also contain shea butter for their great moisturising effects.

Due to its thick and oily consistency, applying it to acne-prone skin is not advisable.

Raw Shea butter is creamy or yellow; refined Shea is white and, although thick and luxurious, is easier to apply than plain Shea.

Marula Facial Oil

Where does Marula come from?

It is extracted from the fruit kernels of the Marula tree and is unique due to its super-rich content of fatty acids known to soothe and moisturise the skin naturally.

Marula oil balances the effects of dryness, ageing, and the appearance of fine lines. As we mature, our skin can become more fragile - Marula oil increases skin suppleness.

Our lightweight oil and all ingredients are lab-tested and ethically sourced. Here is a list of benefits of this highly prized facial oil:

  • Perfect for daily use and under makeup.

  • It contains Vitamins E and C.

  • Marula provides both moisture and hydration.

  • Add a drop to your foundation for a more sheer, glowing finish.

  • A few drops on a cleansing cloth will melt away eye makeup.

  • Marula oil is ideal for dry, thirsty skin.

  • Hydrating but leaves no greasy residue on your face.

  • It plumps the skin and leaves a dewy complexion.

What it's great for:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Dullness
