Two years ago, Live Well signed up to B1G1 Business for Good. We make a small contribution for each sale of our Marula Facial Oil and Shea Butter skin products.
These gorgeous natural Marula fruits and Shea Butter fruits are grown in West Africa and are harvested by small co-operatives that rely on The Fairtrade Foundation, a UK-based charity.
Fairtrade means workers' rights, safer working conditions, and fairer pay for farmers and workers. For shoppers, it means high-quality, ethically produced products. Choosing Fairtrade means standing with farmers for fairness and equality against some of the world's biggest challenges.
We're a tiny business but very proud to have made a difference by supporting causes that resonate with us and signing up to be part of the global B1G1 community.

Who are B1G1?
In 2007, a group of small-business owners had an idea. They asked, "What would happen if we all gave back just by doing the things we do every day?" It was a question that deeply inspired them.
Three years and a significant undertaking later, they were able to design the systems and processes necessary to make it work, and their dream is now a reality. The initiative, called 'Buy1Give1', is backed by the idea that companies would create a specific giving impact with each designated business transaction. Today, the B1G1 initiative brings together more than 2,600 businesses worldwide — each making significant impacts in their way.
Today B1G1 is run by a social enterprise (registered company in Singapore) and non-profit organization (501(c)3 registered in the US) with a mission to create a world that's full of giving. Unlike conventional giving models, B1G1 explicitly helps businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities into everyday business operations and creating unique giving stories. Every business transaction can help improve lives for as little as just one cent.
