Following Brexit, new laws are in place in the UK for all cosmetics sold by retailers like ourselves. We are delighted to announce we now have all our products listed in the UK and are fully compliant with the new laws.
Before we left the EU, all cosmetics sold in the UK were registered on the EU CPNP Cosmetics Products Notification Portal.
Registration of products ensures safety precautions are in place and sufficient testing completed by manufacturers before the sale.
As of March 31st 2021, the law now states that any cosmetics sold in the UK are registered under the UK's new SCPN Submit Cosmetic Products Notification Portal.
Today's post is to inform all our customers that we are covered under these new regulations and have registered our skincare products and the "responsible person" for our business.
The "responsible person" - the role of the responsible person is to ensure that the cosmetic products placed on the EU/UK market are safe for use and compliant with the EU Regulation 1223/2009 and UK Schedule 34 to the Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
A responsible person is a legal representative of a cosmetic product in the EU/UK.
