Lavender in skincare

Updated: Feb 28, 2021

Lavender and the most widely cultivated species, Lavandula Angustifolia is grown as a crop in various parts of the world and also popular as an ornamental plant for gardens and decorative pots. Fields of purple lavender are a common sight in many parts of the Mediterranean and there are a few sites in the UK.

The oil from the flowers is used in soaps, moisturisers, candles and pillow sprays, putting lavender at the very top of the list of favourite fragrances. Used in aromatherapy it has a calming effect which makes it a popular choice in the beauty industry and it can be found in many different bath and skincare products. The gorgeous aroma can help reduce anxiety and stress allowing you to relax and fall asleep more easily.

At Live Well Natural Skincare we have put together a wonderful gift set of floral and fresh Lavender Soap, calming and soothing Nourishing Skin Balm and matching organic Lavender & Lemongrass face and body cream. Our Lavender soap contains tiny pieces of the lavender buds. Indulge yourself with our natural soap and skincare!
