The power of two in business and a few little nuggets about us!

Our partnership is a unique blend of complementary skills built on mutual respect for the other's expertise. Despite our thirty-six years together, we only began working side by side two years ago. The transition to sharing an office and running a business together has been challenging, but we've ironed out any wrinkles and hopefully bring out the best in each other.

Despite the various roles we both juggle, from business management to marketing and writing blogs, we work hard to find a balance in our personal lives. This can sometimes be tricky when living and working together. Still, we strive to maintain this balance, even if it's difficult to switch off when work and home are in the same place.

Kel brings a wealth of experience to the table. He has honed his skills and knowledge with years of running his own business. His analytical mind, exceptional spatial reasoning, and profound understanding of business growth have been instrumental in our journey.

Having worked as a business analyst for years and as an IT specialist, Kel helped our fledgling business [built a hotel booking system for Riverside Cat Hotel] and a stock control system for Live Well. He also deals with everything financial and comes up with solutions to reduce our business costs.

This allows me to focus on the fluffy stuff, which includes managing Live Well's website, creating engaging marketing materials (hopefully), and personally welcoming our customers when they visit our bijou shop or boarding cattery. We believe in the power of personal connections and strive to make every customer feel valued.

Our belief in caring for our customers is at the core of our business philosophy. We thrive in the real world, meeting and greeting our customers, understanding their needs, and building meaningful relationships. To us, you are not just a customer but an integral part of our business. We are committed to making every customer feel valued, even if we're not fond of social media.

When we have free time, Kel enjoys working on projects in the garage (his man cave), while I prefer to go for walks. Living on the fringes of Salisbury and surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's a great place to live and work.

Over the last few years, our work-life balance has become our priority. We ensure we have time apart from each other to see our friends and develop our hobbies. This time alone and apart helps us with our creativity. We respect each other's need for personal time, which is crucial to our successful life and business partnership.
